"To Advance and Govern the Standards of Education in the Consumer & Commercial Electronics Industry"Purpose
- Nurture the Mobile Electronics School/Training Industry;
- Improve and expand the performance of its members;
- Encourage sound and ethical training/teaching practices among its members;
- Conduct research in field service techniques that improve the effectiveness of its members by keeping up with industry technology changes and employer requirements;
- Inform its members of changes in State/Government laws and practices as well as pending legislation that affects their service;
- Sponsor meetings and educational programs; and
- Cooperate with public and private agencies in the establishment of sound Mobile Electronic School/Training service practices.
MESA Member School Code of Ethics
Each member of this Association pledges to observe and maintain the following standards of conduct in dealing with the public, industry, and MESA members.i) Members shall conduct their business in a professional manner, ensuring that their personnel are knowledgeable in the areas of Mobile Electronic School Industry in which they participate and are acting in compliance with sound industry practices.
ii) Members shall act in conformity with applicable laws and regulations and shall cooperate in every appropriate way with all governmental bodies in the interests of establishing and maintaining an efficient and fair framework for the Mobile Electronic School Industry.
iii) Members shall act in a manner that recognizes that integrity and confidence are essential in the Mobile Electronic School Industry.
iv) Members shall accord oral agreements the same sanctity given to written agreements.
v) Members shall not breach or avoid an agreement or commitment.
vi) Members shall encourage healthy competition in the Mobile Electronic School Industry.
vii) Members shall conduct their business without regard to the race, color, sex, religion, marital status, national origin, or age of the persons with whom they deal.
viii) Members shall not quote to a prospective client rates or other service items that are not likely of realization.
ix) Members shall make every effort available to them to effectively perform their assigned duties to their clients in a proper and responsive manner.
x) Members shall not speak falsely or disparagingly of the business practices of a competitor or of a transaction being negotiated by a competitor.
xi) Members shall cooperate with the Ethics and/or Mesa Committee in furnishing information relative to any investigation of a possible violation of the Code of Ethics.
MESA Student Code of Ethics
MESA member schools will encourage all students and graduates for adhere to the following code of ethics when dealing with the public, industry and MESA member schools.i) I pledge to perform any and all task in a conscientious, safe and efficient manner, mindful of the investment a consumer has in his or her vehicle, the safety of my coworkers and the property of my employer.
ii) I pledge to make installation decisions consistent with maintaining the safety of a customer’s vehicle and its passengers. I further pledge to inform immediately my employer or customer of any existing or potential factors that might endanger the vehicle or its passengers.
iii) I pledge to be ethical and professional when providing any service or sale to a potential or existing customer.
iv) I pledge my commitment to continuously strive to improve my skills and knowledge in the consumer electronics industry.
v) I pledge to keep up with new and future technologies through self-motivation, on the job training and continuing education.
vi) I pledge to offer my knowledge and assistance to help further the success of my coworkers and employer.
vii) I pledge to treat my fellow employees and my employer with respect and courtesy.
viii) I pledge to conduct myself in a manner that supports my employer’s policies.
ix) I pledge to maintain an open mind to arbitrate controversy to a fair conclusion.
x) I pledge to strive to provide my employer and consumer value by promoting quality services at all times.
xi) I pledge to represent the mobile electronics industry, formal industry training, mobile electronics retailers, manufacturers, and industry associations in a manner that is professional and supportive.
